Public and Scientific Community Education
Education and outreach to the public and scientific communities are a vital piece of the Oiled Wildlife Care Network’s (OWCN) activities.
A few examples of OWCN outreach projects include:
- Collaborating on development of national and international oiled animal care standards and trainings,
- Educating stakeholders through presentations, a weekly blog entry, newsletters and other updates,
- Consulting with oil spill responders worldwide, and
- Supporting a K-12 environmental outreach program.
